Q: What is Zenera?
A: Zenera is a gamified productivity and screen-time management app that helps you build healthier digital habits. We blend behavioural science with light game mechanics so staying focused feels clear, sustainable and fun!

Q: How does Zenera work?
A: Start a focus session with the in-app timer and let it run to completion without hopping to other apps. Finish the session, earn points, repeat. If you switch away, the session may pause or fail, so park the doom-scroll and enjoy the countdown.

Q: Do I need an account to use Zenera?
A: Nope. You can try guest mode with no persistent personal data. Some features like verified rewards and personalised offers are reserved for registered users. Creating an account unlocks the full experience.

Q: How do points and rewards work?
A: Points are promotional (not cash) and can be used to redeem eligible in-app offers, subject to availability and vendor terms. Some rewards are age-restricted (18+). In certain redemption flows, you can opt in to share your registered email with a vendor so they can complete fulfilment — totally optional, and only for that purpose.

Q: What data does Zenera collect?
A: For registered accounts we require your email, name, and an age-verification status (we do not store your date of birth). Optional data like approximate area/region, in-app usage metrics, or optional profile details such as gender is collected only if you opt in to personalise offers. We do not collect data outside the app and we do not access your device’s Screen Time API.

Q: How is my data protected?
A: Zenera runs on Google Firebase, which provides storage, encryption, access control, and transfer safeguards under its platform terms and certifications. Payments are handled by the app stores and we do not process or store card details. You control optional permissions and can withdraw consent at any time.

Q: Will vendors contact me?
A: Only if you explicitly opt in to a redemption method that shares your registered email with a vendor solely to complete fulfilment. Otherwise, vendors receive only what's necessary to process a redemption (i.e., confirmation it occurred and, where required, age eligibility).

Q: How do I manage or delete my data?
A: You can adjust permissions or withdraw consent in settings, continue in guest mode, or request account deletion. We will delete or anonymise associated personal data within a reasonable period, subject to standard backup and legal requirements. Withdrawing consent affects future optional processing only and does not affect the lawfulness of processing already performed.
